Notification groups can be used to efficiently manage the notification receivers for all your alerts and reports.
When creating an alert or report type, you can assign notification receivers which will be notified when an alert orreport is created. If you specified the receivers for each alert type and report type separately, this can become a messover time.
By using a notification group, you centralise the notification receivers. By doing this, you can easily add or removereceivers to your alert- and report types.
